Arugam Bay Beach
Arugam Bay lies in the eastern corner of the island, known as a surfers paradise and one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka.
Arugam Bay possesses both, a rich natural heritage, along with a great water sports atmosphere. Arugam Bay is a popular surfing location and is also the only international surf competition venue in Sri Lanka. It is also rated as one of the top ten surf destinations in the world, known as Ofek’s main point.
The nearby Kumana National Park is home to more than 200 species of birds, along with several other types of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.
